Access 39.19 Miles of Jupiter Area Paddling Trails
Written by Alex Cotluer
Jupiter offers a variety of water access along its 39.19-mile paddling trail. Despite the area’s popularity for paddling, some launch spots remain quietly underused. These three launches offer unique paddling experiences for those willing to look beyond the obvious.
Limestone Creek Natural Area is a hidden gem. The launch is just north of the fire station on Central Boulevard. A few steps down the access places you directly into a calm, winding stretch of water that feels far removed from town. You can paddle west into the sunset, or paddle east, meandering through scenic oxbows on either side. Once you paddle under the Loxahatchee River bridge, this route will take you all the way to the ocean. This location is peaceful and wildly underrated.
The access to Jones Creek at Indiantown Road and Pennock Drive is an ideal choice for paddlers who crave a path less traveled. This water is not for swimming, and the boat traffic is minimal. Expect narrow waterways, rich birdlife, and a sense of exploration that feels more remote than its location suggests.
The Dubois Park launch offers a fantastic blue water experience. This access is best during an incoming tide to avoid being swept out the inlet. A short paddle west places you in front of the former Suni Sands property, an area known for its abundance of sea turtles and marine life. This is a sensitive seagrass zone, please tread carefully. It is the ideal location to snorkel with turtles or just enjoy the scenery.
I hope to inspire you to get out and show these spots some love. Post your pics and tag The Influencer Jupiter so we can share your experience. We live where others vacation, despite the crowds, there are still quiet spaces to enjoy, Let’s Paddle!
They say a walk after eating helps digestion, a paddle afterward does too. Paddling to local waterfront restaurants is as easy as arriving by boat or car. Pack or wear an above-the-knee length dress made of a polyester and spandex blend with four way stretch for ease of movement. Solid, light-colored dresses tend to show watermarks, I recommend dark colors or a print fabric. You can also just put on a cover-up if it is early in the day and save the dress for happy hour or dinner. Men’s hybrid shorts look put together in or out of water; the fabric is wrinkle-free and the four-way stretch allows ease of movement. Pair it with a dry-fit collared shirt and no one will know you just paddled there until they see you paddle away.
In Jupiter, paddle fashion is laid-back, not sloppy. It is a style that is relaxed yet put together, like a good paddle route. So, pack your dry-fit layers, leave the cotton at home and you will be ready to embrace the elements in style – let’s paddle!crowds and the chaos, let’s paddle!
