The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce celebrated an extraordinary group of leaders during its 2025 Woman of the Year Luncheon, held on Oct. 29 at the Pelican Club in Jupiter. The annual event, produced by the Chamber’s Women in Business Council and presented by Lickstein Plastic Surgery, honored ten remarkable finalists whose leadership and service continue to elevate the Palm Beach County community.

This year’s Woman of the Year award went to Christine Sylvain, Founder and CEO of Path to College, a nonprofit dedicated to helping high-achieving, low-income students earn full-ride scholarships to top universities. Sylvain’s vision for equity in education and her tireless advocacy for opportunity have transformed lives across the region.
Under her leadership, Path to College has become a force for good, cultivating excellence and confidence in students who are often overlooked. She is a TEDx speaker and graduate of both Leadership Florida and Leadership Palm Beach County.
Sylvain also holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University.
Finalists for this year’s award included Alexcia Cox, State Attorney for Florida’s 15th Judicial Circuit; Bethany Stanhope, Florida Atlantic University; Katie Thompson, Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast; Racheal Bonlaron, Comcast; Elizabeth Hamma, Hubbard Radio; Amy Kight, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Abramson & Schlagger Reserve; Judith Rae, Judith Rae, LLC; Kelly Powell, Community Partners of South Florida; and Anne Messer, Friends of Manatee Lagoon.
Reflecting on this year’s honorees, one of the anonymous judges shared, “Palm Beach County is lucky to have so many outstanding women leaders, which makes choosing this year’s ‘Woman of the Year’ a bit difficult. But for me, I looked for someone whose impact would have a lasting legacy on our community. My mom always said we must leave the world a better place than we found it, and that’s what I used as one of my criteria.”
The luncheon once again drew an energized audience of community and business leaders, celebrating women who are shaping Palm Beach County’s future through innovation, service, and leadership.
