Home is where the heart thrives, and mine thrives when I paddle and share my waterway knowledge with you! Comfort on the water comes from knowing your routes, your resources, and how everything connects. This month’s read provides key information both locally and statewide to help you feel more at home on your paddle.

The Town of Jupiter Waterway Trail Map offers paddlers a clear picture of the 39.19 miles of paddling trails in our backyard. Launch points and routes are outlined, making it easy to explore with intention.

The Jupiter Inlet District Boater’s Guide provides key information about our local waterway system. This guide details channel marker locations, speed zones, points of interest and boat ramps along with the natural features of the area. This map helps you plan your paddle safely; it shows the varying boating speed zones and provides a clear visual of the boating channel so you can avoid it (unless you are crossing it), in accordance with Florida Statute. This information is especially useful on the weekends and holidays when our waterways are the busiest.

For paddlers ready to venture farther, the Florida Paddl+ing Trails Association provides curated routes, complete with skill level requirements and distances. I can’t say enough about this valuable resource! They are stewards of the Florida paddling trail system while reinforcing safe planning and respect for the water. The statewide information they provide is extensive.
